Yesterday was the time to lay down the guitars for the upcoming five tracks. Everything went almost as planned and I managed to record the parts for four songs instead of the five that I was supposed to do. In a way I knew from the beginning that at least one song's recordings had to be postponed because of the strict time limit. We started a little later than we were supposed to and went on for many hours straight. I went to the studio straight from work and I think I was home around at 11 pm or something. Dispite all this the sessions were really fun as always and some suspicious people were hanging around in the studio during the evening. Epe, Mika and Jussi were there for some time to give me serious pressure and tried everything to ruin my takes. Also Mika's girlfriend Anita and Hannes (bass player of Turisas) were there for some time. It was nice to have people around to cheer me and Mika had some great ideas for solo harmonies for example. And it never hurts to have an extra pair of accurate ears in addition to Jannes's in the studio.

Either way there's nothing to worry about since we're going to record that remaining one song today. Some acoustic tracks are going to be recorded to at least one of the songs I did yesterday also. So everything is quite fine and I have a good feeling about this. But this is just the beginning. After the last guitar parts have been recorded we can start "the poisoning" of the tracks with all the synthesizer/piano parts in the near future. That I can't wait! As Barney Stinson would put it: "It will be legen...wait for it...dary". By the way we even managed to set a couple of dates for the singing sessions.
